Located on one of oldest and most quite streets of Hanoi next to Joseph’s Cathedral and near the Hoan Kiem Lake, the SPLENDID STAR HOTEL is a newest hotel which opened in Septemper 2008 and is one of the few family-owned and run hotels in Hanoi. the hotel staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. thx, tom and andy, thx, all the other staff.
When I presented with my booking they said they were full even though my deposit was paid. They moved me to Old Street Hotel where the rooms were US$15 however they still charged me the US$35. I get a feeling its a common thing for them to be "full" and then moving you to a cheaper hotel but still keeping the higher price.
