Nestled high in the mountains of central Vietnam is the City of Dalat often referred to as the City of Eternal Spring due to its mild temperatures and abundant flora. The Sofitel Dalat Palace sits on a hillside in the heart of the city, where climate, history and luxury combine to make the hotel a destination unto itself. The city is dotted with architecturally unique villas built beginning in the 1920's,offering a glimpse of the French colonial past, while the surrounding mountains harbor many natural wonders.
Each of the Palace's 43 fully appointed rooms is beautifully decorated and offers first-class amenities including IDD telephone, satellite TV,safes and minibars. Most of the rooms have the added romance of fireplaces.
Our fine dinning rooms,Le Rabelais, specializes in classical French preparations of fresh Dalat produce and imported items in an atmostphere of quiet elegance. Its intimate lounge is perfect for before dinner cocktails, either at the bar itself or in front of the fireplace, listening to music played on the baby grand piano.
Ranked the number 1 Golf Course in Vietnam for 2001 by Golf Digest(USA),the Dalat Palace Golf Club is a masterpiece of design.Gently crafted into the rolling hills of Dalat and overlooking the majestic Xuan Huong Lake, the course weaves its way through stately pines to oversized and delicately manicured bent grass greens.Patrick J. Rielly,Past President of the PGA of America, called Dalat Palace Golf Club " one of the most beautiful courses in Asia".

About Dalat:
Built on a plateau 1,500 metres above sea level, Dalat was such a favourite retreat of the colonial French that it became known as "Le Petit Paris." A cool retreat from the heat of the coastal plains and the Mekong Delta, Dalat has a refreshingly mild climate accompanied by a pretty landscape of waterfalls, lakes, springs, pine hills, and French built villas.
It’s also a good base for visiting local tribal villages outside the town. Some villages, like Lat Village and the Chicken Village (with a huge statue of a chicken) are close to Dalat itself.
Nestled amongst the green, rolling hills of central-southern Vietnam, Dalat was originally a summer retreat for the colonial French who came here to enjoy the town's charms and take the mountain air. The city's temperatures hover between 15ºC to 25ºC all year round making it an ideal travel destination at any time of year and earning Dalat the soubriquet "City of Eternal Spring".
The city and its surroundings have a distinctive romantic flavour, especially the graceful architecture of the older hotels in Dalat itself: colonial classics exuding character and charm.
