Your 5-star Gateway to Central Vietnam’s ‘World Heritage Road’
and four UNESCO-listed World Heritage sites
The luxurious Furama Resort Danang is a true icon of Vietnam tourism. This 5-star haven on world-famous China Beach is celebrated as Vietnam’s most prestigious resort – counting royalty, presidents, movie stars and international business leaders among its celebrity guests.
A multi-award winner for its unfaltering commitment to world-class service and facilities, the Furama is not only consistently voted Vietnam’s No 1 resort, leading international polls also rank it among the very best resorts in Asia.
But the Furama is much more than an idyllic tropical retreat, it is also a premier base for exploring one of Asia’s most exciting new destinations – in the early days of being “discovered” by international tourism.
Just a short drive from Danang lay four UNESCO-listed World Heritage Sites: the former imperial city of Hue (2 hours), the ancient ‘Silk Road’ trading port of Hoi An (30 minutes away), the spiritual centre of the Champa civilization, My Son (90 minutes) and the mystical Phong Nha Caves in Quang Binh province (3 hours), considered by some an access to the inner earth!
Our “Diving Base” is meanwhile pioneering international-standard scuba diving in Vietnam – as the resort also develops as a renowned venue for events, conference and incentive travel.
About the Furama Resort Danang
Designed by award-winning Australian architects, Denton Corker & Marshall, with interior design by Hirsch Bedner & Associates, Hong Kong, the Furama Resort enjoys a stunning beachfront location on one of Vietnam’s finest beaches, fringed by natural pines and coconut palms. The 198 guest rooms and suites occupy two four-storey wings overlooking the ocean on one side and a freshwater swimming lagoon and manicured tropical gardens on the others.
The main lobby, function rooms, restaurants, bars and service areas occupy several two and three-storey pavilions surrounding a spacious courtyard. The restaurants and lounges are open and airy with polished timber or natural stone floors that offset the cool natural fabrics and cane furnishings. Vietnamese artifacts and furniture enhance the colonial setting to create the resort’s distinctive Asian character.
RENOVATION PROJECT:
Ocean Terrace Restaurant will be renovated and converted into a new Italian restaurant, which is expected to reopen before Vietnamese New Year in February 2010. The renovations will take about 8 weeks to complete.
Next to Furama Danang Resort & Spa, approximately 400 meters away, the Life Resort is constructing a new project estimated to be completed by the first quarter of 2010.

About Da Nang:
The third largest city in Vietnam, Da Nang has a colourful history reflected in its many cultural attractions. The city was once at the heart of the ancient Cham civilization who ruled the region for 1,500 years and the ancient sites of Simhapura and Indrapura are close by. The influence of the French, Spanish and Americans who at various times occupied Danang, can also be seen in the colonial style buildings and tree lined avenues. Danang is also close to the World Heritage sites of Hue, Hoi An, and the My Son Valley. Direct flights are available from Bangkok, Singapore and Taipei.
