Hilo Hotels

Hilo is a coastal city in Hawaii, the largest community on the island of Hawaii. It is situated in the South Hilo District. The city overlooks Hilo Bay, and is near two shield volcanoes, Mauna Loa, considered active, and Mauna Kea, a sleeping volcano upon which some of the best ground-based sky-high observatories are placed. It homes to the University of Hawaii. Hilo Town is on the wet tropical coast of the Big Island. As without any sweeping golden sand beaches, but Hilo has several nice small ones for swimming. At Hilo Bay front Park has black sand and whilst attractive, the sea is murky, possibly polluted, and is known to have sharks. The Rainbow Fall is one of the most visited waterfalls.
