Montra is a stunning new boutique hotel situated in Lamai and a short stroll into the centre of town.
The resort consists of just 9 luxury villas situated around one of the most beautiful pools in Koh Samui, all set in 3 rai (1 acre) of lush tropical gardens. To enter the resort you have to duck under an antique Thai gate, once inside the atmosphere really does make you feel relaxed and that you are somewhere special.
The whole resort is immaculately presented and the villas suites are gorgeous and lavishly equipped with elegant furnishings, high end audio visual equipment and thoughtful touches like I pod connections and free wifi. The interior design is metropolitan with a delicate Asian influence. The rooms are beautiful and the pool is small but very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a very small resort (9 villas) so it is very private and quiet. Breakfast was excellent.
Great location, just a short walk from Lamai Beach. Private and peaceful, great never bumping into other guests.
Very nice and cozy bungalow hotel (suite style). Staff and service were just excellent - very friendly and helpful. For a walk the beach is probably too far away, however the hotel always provided free transportation to the beach and pick-up until 5:00pm. If we go to Koh Samui again, we would definitely stay at Montra.
