Situated at the second largest beach on the island, Ananta Lamai Beach Resort is ideally located on the beachfront next to the most visited tourist attraction on Koh Samui – Hin Ta Hin Yai or Grandmother & Grandfather rock.
Ananta Lamai Beach Resort is a great place for quiet relaxation. However Lamai town is still only a 10 minute walk or 3 minute motorbike ride away for those seeking night life.

It was difficult to find and the taxi didn§t know where it was so we had to walk with our luggage to get to it which was a bit inconvenient. The signs for the hotel has signs for Grand Rock Hotel not Ananta hotel. Otherwise the hotel it self was fine, and was near the nicest part of Lamai beach, which beautiful rock formations. Getting to the rest of Lamai beach did require us to get around via taxi though.
rooms were all amazing, and all the people were very friendly, not in the centre of Lamai, but not a far walk along the beach.
The included breakfast is poor. 2 pieces of toast, a half filled glass with orange liquid (not juice thats for sure) and coffee/tea. It can't cost that much to add a yoghurt or a banana. Otherwise the hotel was great, except for location, but if you rent a moped it doesn't matter that much.
