Melati Beach Resort & Spa

Frankly the entire experience was an absolute pleasure. The staff was genuinely friendly, attentive and went out of their way to assist us with any requests we had. The location was beautifully placed and the gardens within, were very nicely done. Our room was spacious, comfortable and the bathroom was very well laid out. Unfortunately we never made use of the pool inside our villa as the water was most of the time too cold. So next time around we would probably go for a villa without the pool feature. A few suggestions i would have include, staff should spend more time cleaning the main pool with the bar, the beach area should be dredged from all the sharp rocks as most of it cant be used for swimming purposes and the breakfast area should have more choices of cheese.

Excelent hotel with a wery beautiful garden for a romantic and/or quiet vacation. Very intimate. Very fruendly. Brilliant service. Very-very nice & convinient rooms.
Food is quite expencive but nextdoor restaurant on a beach helps a lot.
A nice bay for swim-lovers. Good pool.
Any closest place to go out (Chaweng, Fesherman viilage) is in 15 min. drive and 300 B./$10 one way (not a hotel taxi which is twice as much).
We enjoyed it.

The setting of the hotel is really fabulous and the Pool Villa room was great. On a relative basis to similar hotels in that price category the service was not as outstanding (e.g. no offer of free drinking water by the pool, slow towel and umbrella service by the pool, no beach towels in Pool Villa, techno music at pool bar with simultaneous chill-out music from pool restaurant 20 metres away,..)
