Hotel rate was too expensive for the quality of facilities offered; towels were not changed regularly, toilet was just so-so. We were also charged too much for every little extra, eg. extra bed, the laundry bag etc. I have stayed at many 5* hotels and they usually let us have it for free or charge only a minimal amount.

Unfortunately for us the hotel previously booked by us online (and we have stayed there beforwasp pearled to be in shambles as we arrived,leaving us in a compromising situation seeking fresh accommodation for our period of 3nights.post which we arrived at The Briza hoping we could find ourselves a reasonably good package.so they weren't really expecting us.Unfortunately and distastefully the manager on duty flatly refused to acknowledge any booking done via latestays at first.thumbs down for that!Upon realising our helplessness,the manager on duty and bookings made it extremely difficult for us to book the deluxe room offered on latestays at the quoted price.instead we were kept waiting endlessly for a good 40mins until the bookings manager could complete his lunch after which we were told the said room could not be booked as it needs repairs!and we must have to take the next available option priced much higher.they flatly refused to accept the rates quoted by awd and mentioned it to be an error???All of the above and just the way it was handled was appalling but we hadn't much of a choice as we'd arrived without a reservation and briza had been spoken highly of.Poor choice of a hotel if you have a choice,unlike us.the property stands pretty and vast but the service and maintainence leaves MUCH TO BE DESIRED,in more ways than one.the rooms were never done before 4pm,the water never placed,our wake up call on checkout didn't attempt!,understaffed during peak season,the bf buffet was limp and unflattering to the property.As frequent travellers to Thailand we've experienced the fine Thai hospitality irrespective of star ratings-this one just fell too short of many...they definitely need to pull their socks up which we did inform the manager on duty,Ms.Joey of.
