Samui Island Beach Resort & Hotel

Staff were nice, pool on day 1 was really dirty but cleaned up by Day 2

We arrived late and the room was bad, we ware in a bungalow with only one bed, we wanted to have twin bed. The bathroom were wery poor and not clean at all. The Safty box were located in the basement and we had to pay everytime we opend the door. We did not feel safe and moved from the hotel only after one night.

Samui Island hotel is right up at the North end of Chaweng Beach - a good 40 minute walk into the heart of Chaweng shopping town by road or 20 minutes by beach. This was a plus and a minus as it meant that it was quiet and relaxed by day and you were not surrounded by noisy beach bars and clubs but was a bit of a trek and I would recommend hiring a motorbike (180 BHT a day) to help get around.
The hotel pool and bungalows open right onto the sea though there is no beach - (it is one of three or four hotels right at the end of the bay where the sea comes right up to the front wall of the property.) I was a little disappointed with having no beach front but the water is very shallow and easy to wade in and it is only 5 minutes walk to where the sandy beach starts.
The Bungalow was very comfy and water and tea and coffee facilities were provided daily. Room service seemed to finish at 9pm which I felt was bad as you could not eat after that and being so far out of town there were no street vendors or cafes close by.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and generally the resort was very good and would be a good choice if you want a quiet relaxing stay. Hotel facilities were a bit over priced. Hiring motorbikes, Kayaks etc from the hotel was definitely cheaper just up the road (which I can never understand - why a hotel doesn;t want to be competitive and keep all a visitors money coming into their account!)
Food was good and daily room service was thorough. All in all a very comfortable stay - if a little expensive.
