Pen's Guesthouse is a Family run guesthouse located 300 metres from the main shopping complex "Tesco Lotus" at Chaweng Koh Samui. With all the mod-cons you need plus the benefits of real Thai food.

Pen's restaurant has been running in Chaweng for Twenty years and is popular with the locals and foreigners alike. Spicy or not Spicy you will be back for more of this delicious food at very reasonable prices for quality Thai food. Pen's Brother in law, Bob, is an Australian who has also made Koh Samui his second home and between them both they bring you the best of both worlds. Bob has played Music and still does play at many of the Live Music venues On Koh Samui and is available for Private Music Lessons as well.
So if you want to work on your Guitar,Drums Percussion or Vocal Skills this is the place for you. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.
Cost.About 250 Baht per hour, per person.
So Whether you need a few pointers playing your favourite song, A great six course dinner or a plate of fried rice, A Motorbike, Car, Jetski, Massage or a Taxi it can all be organized for you from our reception area at very reasonable rates.
Please note there is a small charge for electricity and water depending on how much you use. If you want to run your Air Conditioner 24 hours a day it will cost you about 220 Baht per day for all electricity and water. Turn the Air conditioning off when you go out and it will be much cheaper. A small charge but this enables us to rent the rooms at reasonable rates and keep our Bar fridge/restaurant prices so low.
Cost of a Standard Booking is for 1/2 people.
Should you wish to have 3 or 4 people stay there will be an extra charge of 250 baht per person per day.

Nice people running the place with a small shop/restaurant on the premises. Good cheap Thai food on the menu. Bike hire was 50 baht over the odds at 200 per day but was convienient. NOT impressed when they demanded another 270 baht for electric and water after I had booked and paid online!!
Close to Tesco Lotus, not near the beach but that suited me. Facilities at B&B limited, I never had one breakfast. Meals must be eaten out, and if eating at Pen's it's well priced and tasty, and for your own account. There are no cooking facilities in the room. It's more a long-term stay "room to rent" kind of place where you "set up" home yourself. Electricity and water useage is separate and payable on departure. Pen is a lovely lady.
the rooms were a good size, location really wasnt great though, you have to get a taxi or rent a bike to get to the beach, a bit of a pain, there are better places with a better location but rooms not a big. if i had a longer stay, maybe around a week or so then it would have been better as you can really settle in like a little home. There is no kitchenette, just a fridge.
