Muang Kulaypan Hotel is situated on the islands north Chaweng Beach, best known as one of the most picturesque spots in Thailand with its powdery fine white sand and crystal clear water. Thanks to the resorts 100 meter beach frontage, the resorts guest rooms all have fabulous views of the sea and offshore islands.
The design is inspired by a tale of Indonesian folklore introduced to Thailand during the Ayudthaya period and translated into the Thai language many years later by King Rama II.

Chaweng Beach average

This hôtel was probably good in the 1970's but its total lack of maintenance is unbelievable. In Europe it would not be allowed to operate by the authorities. It is actually unsafe to stay there and a mystery That it is still open. It should be avoided, unless someone likes a vintage,worn out and decayed style.
look/style is good but experience fell short. service is at best average. food is below average with above average price.
Hotel Kulaypan is located north end of Chaweng beach, which is quiet area but still only short walking distance to the entertainment and shopping areas. Hotel has extremely nice garden and location just on the beach. Hotel staff is friendly and all and all I would recommend this hotel to my friends at any time.
