First Residence Hotel

Awesome. no hassle, good service, friendly staff, FREE INTERNET, only downside is there is no sun by the poolside as hotel blocks it! but the beach is amazing!

As a frequent traveller to Thailand, I stay at mixture of 5 star and 3 star hotels, depending on the situation. I consider myself as someone who enjoys the finer things in life as far as hotels are concerned yet is happy to accept a less refined residence so long as its clean, friendly and quiet.
The First Residence provided all the comforts I required in order to enjoy my holiday and was exceptional value for money.
The room was clean and comfortable with the only complaint being the low pressure of the shower. I did ask for it to be repaired and sadly this did not happen. This was not enough of an issue as to make me leave the hotel however; it would be great to have more pressure when you shower.
The location is ok but a bike or car transport make things a lot more convenient for getting around.
The breakfast was acceptable and had enough variety however I did eat out a lot elsewhere just to experience the many great restaurants the island has to offer.
The pool area looked good although I never used the facilities and yet despite my room overlooking the pool and road, noise was never an issue.
All in all, I could not fault the hotel for the price, was very happy with my choice and would definitely stay again should I return to KS.
