First Bungalow Beach Resort is the first bungalow resort in Koh Samui. The resort has been located on the best site of this mini-peninsula since the early 1970s. First Bungalow Beach Resort is also the only resort hotel placed on the connecting point of Chaweng Beach and Chaweng Noi Beach, where is accepted that it is the finest site of Koh Samui. As still run by the owners family, it can be seen today with the unique blend of the same old simple, traditional and personalized hospitality of the owner, and all the modern amenities one can dream of in an exotic far-flung island hideout like Chaweng Beach. Nowadays, First Bungalow Beach Resort has been a must on travel-menu of every holidaymaker.

This hotel has been much better in the past. The service is not excellent, probably because the staff is not well trained. We were especially disappointed with the restaurant which used to serve very good Thai food as well as Western food . It could not possibly be a Thai cook in the kitchen because the Thai dishes didn't have the Thai flavour nor the taste. The breakfast was OK though. As for our room it was alright considering the price, but we would have appreciated hooks or appliances to hang our wet swimming wear on the balcony. The mini-bar seemed not fully equipped at our arrival and there was no information about the hotel's internal telephone numbers like the number to the reception nor information about the hotel's regulation. A sign saying "Do not disturb or Make up our room" could not be found either. I strongly recommend the manager to inspect the rooms more frequently.
He should also taste some of the dishes, especially the Thai dishes.

The resort was great! Such as good deal and awesome location, the seaside bungalows were a great deal. The restaurant on location wasn't too great and was expensive, but there was tons of great food options in walking distance!
In the best beach Chaweng Noi.
