a great accomodation in a good location. A very nice sandy beach. My only criticism is the lack of beach loungers per # of guests. There wasn't enough. the buffet breakfast was adequate but after hotelling in Thailand for a month they are all the same and very repetitive.
The photos at the internet looks verry nice. But when we arrieved we saw a resort that was verry old. The staff told me that the resort is 30 years old. In this time they have done not so much.
We were very pleasantly surprised with our room, the facilities available and the position of Lawana. The quality of service we received was certainly more in line with 4+star. Situated right on the beach and within walking distance to Fishermans Village, restaurants and the main road made our stay very convenient. The friendly, helpful staff I will not forget and we recommend Lawana to anybody else travelling to Koh Samui for the first time very highly.
