Rome Place Hotel is a heaven of a comfort in the heart of Phuket Town, On Thailand most beautiful tropical island. Just a short walk from the hotel is Phuket Town Bus terminal (to Krabi, Suratthani, Ranong, Hatyai, Phang-Nga, Takua Pa and Bangkok) and town municipal market where you can buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Around three sides of this market you will find a night market that features Thai and Chinese food. Nearby is the Robinson Ocean Plaza, which has a food court with fast-food chains for those who need modern surroundings. For those addicted to celluloid, theres Paradise Cinemas, next to Robinson Ocean Plaza; There are both English languages; Western movies as well as Thai movies.

Clean, friendly, efficient - central location
Very run down and dark dingy hotel. More like a hostel for backpackers then a family hotel. We stayed here just for convenience to catch early morning ferry and it served its purpose. Breakfast was very poor also with no english speaking staff. Wouldnt stay again thats for sure.
The staff tried hard to help me , but their command of English was very low or non-existent. Breakfast was very frugal.
