Phuket, Thailand Pearl of the Andaman, is everyone dream destination. The island offers a huge range of attractions, from spectacular golfing courses to gorgeous scuba-diving locations along with a vibrant nightlife. If you are a beach person welcome to paradise, if you are a food enthusiast, likewise. If you want a holiday away from it all, no problem whatsoever. But for shopaholics there is only one place to stay; at Millennium Resort, Patong.

Hotel is well away from the beach and just too expensive for the kind of location. I requested for a king size bed but on my arrival I was told that the category I had booked, only had single beds. I was asked to upgrade in case I want a bigger bed which cost me another THB 5300 for 3 days. I actually ended up cutting my vacation by one day. I honestly felt it was a well rehearsed thing to ensure travellers have to pay more at the time of checking in.
I was very unhappy when we checked in as my 87 year old grand father wanted to come and have a look at out room and relax in the air con for a few hours as he was in Phuket for the day only but when we arrived at reception they were very rude and said that he was not allowed up to our room at all, he had to sit in the non air-conditioned reception area and wait for us, then when our bags were being taken up to our room the same lady made me show her which was our bags as we were not allowed to put my 87 year old grand fathers bag in our room either. I was made to feel like a lie when i show them the bags and they said are you sure they are all your bags, It was not a warm welcome at all.......
I was even annoyed when a few days later I was swimming in the pool and there was a guy there that was from a different hotel visiting his friends swimming in the pool....
We wrote a letter to the general manager on the day we checked in and still to this day we have not heard back from him, which is also very disrespectful.
Our room was very nice and the rest of the service was great but reception has left a bitter taste in my mouth that’s for sure, I was disgusted the way my grand father was treated and us too. I will not stay here again, there are many more hotels in Phuket that would treat you 10x better than here.....
