Kasalong Phuket Resort

We stayed at Kasalong for four nights and had a really good experience! The bungalows were surprisingly big as well as clean and well equiped. The pool was clean and the restaurant offered good thai food - although a bit more expensive than the local restaurants. The personell were all nice and spoke good english. We got a great last stay at Nai Yang before going back after two weeks total vacation in Thailand.
The only downside to the resort is its location - approx 15 min walk from the beach, which felt a bit long some times.

good staff, very nice pool, garden and bedroom, 30 km to phuket city, quiet area you're in the countryside but with palmtrees! you will need scooter or car to go to the beach or to discover the island. possible to eat the beach in the evening many restaurant, or closer to the resort with excellent food (names : thai siam restaurant and naiyang seafood restaurant), ask to the staff.

I have lived in Thailand for 15 years. It was a very nice hotel, a little overpriced, the food is very over priced, so we walked 1 block to the main road to eat all meals. The free breakfast was good. I had the omlet set. It's a 15 min. walk to the beach, which is ok, because then you can find several cheaper places to stay with more cost effective food closer to the beach. The best part was the airport transfer which for a 5 min. taxi ride was 300 bath to come in past 10 pm and 200 baht to get back to the airport versus 500 baht the taxi crooks normally charge.
