Tropical Resort

I originally requested for 2 twin single beds but was given a room with a double bed, I didn't bother to request changing room cos I'm fine with sharing the bed. I was very pleased with their prompt response when I informed the frontdesk staff that the toilet is faulty. The room is rather clean but I saw a overturned cockroach (still alive) the next morning. The hotel staff cleared it away when they came to make the bed. I find the staff very polite and helpful, overall I had an enjoyable stay.

Too 'baht minded". Everythng's about the money. Even Internet servce which is free and ample is neighbouring resorts has to be paid here. And the swimming pool's too narrow and lacks privacy, especially for the expensive pool villas

This is a new hotel that attempts to provide a trendy atmosphere. The rooms are attractive, but construction seemed a bit cheap. The staff OK but a bit clumsy and inefficient at check-in. Next door to another hotel that had Filipino bands performing obnoxious renditions of 1980 pop hits. The noise was considerable in my room which was east facing. (I stayed in Kata for a few more days, and the band played their every night.)
