Ricos Bungalows Kata

We had a fantastic stay at Rico's. We were a group of 11 and we were accommodated very comfortably in 4 rooms. The pool was excellent and so close to all the rooms. The bungalows are in the centre of Kata so really close to all the restaurants, bars, shops and beach but there was no noise. The staff were very helpful and helped us book excursions. Great place at a great price would recommend Rico's to anyone!

The hotel is placed on a very busy street but in a fantastic way the bungalows and the small pool and garden is really calm and quiet. It is close to the beach, Kata but we strongly recommend you to take a little longer walk to Kata Noi instead, that beach is far better! // Family Nystrom from Sweden

Rico's Bungalows is situated in an excellent location close to Kata Beach, close to shops and restaurants.The room we were allocated was room 22,a family room. It was a very nice room,clean,good king size bed,fridge.TV etc.
The one and only problem was the toilet which would gurgle and burp a disgusting smell a few times during the day and night which would penetrate the whole bathroom and bedroom.After complaining to hotel to management they admitted to the problem, we were informed that the hotel was fully booked we were unable to change rooms for 2 days.We managed to control the smell by opening the bathroom window and by burning perfumed candles and incense sticks and keeping the bathroom door closed.As it was a larger room and we had the smell under control and presuming all rooms had the problem we decided to stay the remaining 4 nights in there but it did put a dampener on our holiday.We would like the hotel to rectify the problem for future guests and an apology would be appreciated.
