Kata Palace Phuket

As stated above, we were told it would be less, but it was not. Also, our room only had a small window about the bathtub so it was depressing.

Prior to our arrival in Phuket, we conducted rigorous hotel research (in the Bangkok airport). Aiming for a price-conscious nightly stay, we chose Kata Palace over a few other locations (no previous stay at any). While upon arrival the outside did not look anything impressive, the interior of the hotel was pleasantly surprising. Very clean and modern; tile flooring throughout the hotel and within rooms is a great touch. Air conditioning works great, which is vital in Thailand. Due to previous checkered experiences with other hotels booked online, we only reserved for the first night of our Phuket stay. However, after one night it was not a hard decision to renew for the rest of the week. Kata Palace is a 5 minute walk from the beach; great location to Kata beach restaurants/bars. If you're looking for a price-conscious stay in Phuket and would rather avoid the liveliness/chaos of Patong Beach, this is a great option.
Note: Only negative. There's not shower curtain in the bathroom! While I read this in a previous review and noted the comment of flooding the bathroom, this was spot on and still surprising once we arrived. If you're over 4 feet tall, you'll have to manually use the shower head and the bathroom will indeed overflow. However, this is not a major issue, and the hotel rooms are elevated from the bathroom floor so there's no issue with any overflow beyond the bathroom.

Great location, 3 minutes walk from Kata beach.Big rooms, kept very clean, daily housekeeping . Very good breakfast, tea/coffee , juice, toast butter jam, eggs bacon sausage , and fruit !!!Staff are so friendly, and very kind . All one expects from Thai hospitality !!!
