Sunwing Resort & Spa

Highly focused on Scandinavian guests, the hotel seems tired. If you book direct there are no guides to offer day trips etc, the actual hotel info is limited at best. There was not much natural light as the trees and building proximity are too close / tall. There is not much room around the pool as there are sunbeds everywhere and when the hotel is full it's hard to get one. The buffet breakfast is average at best, the cooked food was at times not even warm. The service of the staff was slow and a little lazy in the restaurant and any questions or comments were met with blank stares and quite often not much action to resolve / answer. The rooms were often only 'touched up' instead of being cleaned, except the last day when they clearly expected a tip on our exit. Having said all that we had a wonderful time in Thailand and will definitely go back, just not to Sunwing.

Good location on the Bang Tao Beach. Good hotel for families travelling with children, but very expensive to eat and drink at the hotel, 3 times the prices compared with others. 10 us dollars for a pizza in Thailand???

Sun wing is just ideal, for a familie, it offers the freedom of leting your children enjoying All , and at the same time being asured, that they Will be safe ón the premises. Especialy the staff is of a high and very friendly standard. We have been at the resort twice, and Will go here again, since it is our opinion, that Bantao, is above the very turist other places in Phuket, and it is still not too commercialises All dow, the amount of bad behaving russians like in All places in Phuket, might be something you have to consider.
