My husband and I enjoyed our time here. Two of our days, we spent taking tours while the other two days we spent lazily enjoying the hotel pool, restaurant, bar, and beach. We couldn't enjoy the spa services, however, because we were there in the off season when there weren't many guests, so the spa was closed. It was both strange and wonderful to have the resort almost to ourselves. It felt very romantic. Although we were enjoying a romantic holiday, I would recommend this resort for family vacations as well.
My favorite pool was the smaller infinity pool that was seaside. At this pool there is a deck with comfortable lounge chairs and umbrellas where you can sit all day listening to the crash of waves and watching the tide come in and go out. There's even a swim up bar.
The beach is beautiful although a section of it was spoiled each day by the waste carried onto it: medical waste (I didn't see needles but plastic bags), plastic bottles, ropes). I did swim in the sea, and while playing in the water, I didn't see any debris except for some sea plants. And I really felt comfortable and safe. I don't blame the resort for how contaminated our seas are, and I did notice that the beach was cleaned up. Even though I never saw it being cleaned, the amount of debris never increased, and it did change daily. There are tiny crabs all over the beach, which are very cute, but may be a little scary at first for small children. The best part of the beach is the small island just off shore with a light house that you can walk/swim out to. The sunsets are truly spectacular.
We found our room to be clean. Although I slept like a baby, the beds are extremely firm. The pillows and sheets are soft. The infinity pools are very beautiful and clean. The staff took good care of us--all of our requests were met even though many staff members' had difficulty understanding us (We speak only English).
I've had many beach holidays, and this one was special. To my surprise, one thing that contributed to my comfort was the lack of insects. I had expected mosquitoes and other little creatures that bite and itch, but found the only annoyance to be the tiny ants that my orange soda attracted. Also, although the weather was hot, there was a breeze. There were plenty of umbrellas to sit under.
Our breakfasts, that were included in our price, were not typical bargain breakfasts--we were treated to a delicious buffet with unlimited coffee, tea, and juice. Each day there were three main stations: a western section, with fried eggs shaped like hearts, sausage, and a changing item; an eastern section, with porridge, rice, and some type of noodle; and a continental section, with a toaster for bread, a variety of breads and jellies, juices and fruits.
My husband and I found this resort to be an excellent value and would definitely return given the opportunity.
