The journey is a long one but can be made easier if you choose to travel overnight. Once you arrive, take your pick of places to head to. Plenty of Phang Nga hotels can be found on the idyllic islands Koh Yao Noi and Koh Yao Yai which are both delicate paradises in amongst the national park. Take a boat ride or kayak trip around the park and get up close to the sublime landscape. In some instances you can even travel into the hidden inlets and caves that the islands and mountains conceal.
Back on the mainland a popular beach is Khao Lak which is known for its luxurious Phang Nga resorts that provide some needed respite from Phuket. From Khao Lak there are opportunities to head to nearby dive sites at the Surin and Similian islands where the coral is the best in Thailand!
