Pattaya Discovery Beach Hotel

Lovely hotel. Location is perfect, within walking distance to main lively area but just far enough away to not be disturbed. We were upgraded to a room with 2 bedrooms, which was handy for our daughter to have her own room. Rooms are of a very high standard with lovely lighting and enormous comfy beds. Bathrooms were very luxurious and spotlessly clean. Pool area small but big enough for our needs. We ate a couple of times in the poolside restaurant and had very nice meals and attentive service. I would definately recommend this hotel and would stay there again if I visit Pattaya again.

The smell of the sewer from the bathroom was unbelievable and we stayed on the 8th floor . The first night we could barely sleep, the stench was so strong. The next day we asked the front desk to have someone take a look at it and the stench was still there. The last day, we were unable to flush the toilet, I was so happy to leave. If you walked around on the street behind the pool area, you will smell the same smell. The staff at the front desk were rude, started from the point when they kept insisting that 4 people could not stay in 1 room and I refused to budge. The porter boys, however were delightful. The last day, there were some new girls at the front desk and they were polite, friendly and helpful. I asked for late check out and was allowed until 1, however the offer to use the shower room late that day was good.
