Railay Village Resort & Spa

Great rooms: nice and spacious.
Excellent Tom Yum and Tom Ka soups, rest of the food is not very good.
Popular with families but not too noisy.

Do not stay here it is a waste of time, the hotel is a disgrace, the service is poor and unfriendly. Also keep in mind that Late Stays do very little to help in accomodating your needs and services, I reached out to Mr.Chanchai Hatsut several times to have this hotel ammended and he failed to respond to my emails. I checked in and checked out the very next morning and ended up losing over $500 because I refused to stay at this hotel. I left Krabi for Kho Phi Phi because this hotel was so poor!!! This was the last time I will use Late Stays, I booked my stay at Sareeraya on Koh Samui through Late Stays which was a very positive experience although after my Railay Village experience I will no longer use late Stays ever again and I request a refund!!!

Generally this muslim part of Thailand is far different to what we got used to while visiting other areas. People show less hospitality in comparison to other places, yet greatly above EU average. This peninsula is a good retreat. Dont go here if you wanna party. It is also a perfect starting point fot any kind of journey heading into andaman sea. DO NOT GO to the east railly beach!!! Its a nightmare! Stay only on the west side, where are village and bay resorts. The village resort itself is a good one, especially if you book the pool view apartment - then make sure its on the 1st floor, since if you book at the 2nd floor, your access to the pool would be less pleasant.
