If you are searching the budget hotel on an extremely popular beach of Koh Lanta, we are the right choice. Ocean View Resort nested on our private compound on Klong Dao Beach; three kilometers long beach with white sand and shallow blue sea are also known as the Family Beach of Koh Lanta. The beach is at the north most of the island and just a few kilometer from Saladan Town, main pier located where you can find all your traveling conveniences.

I do NOT recommend this hotel. Staff from hotel are extremely unfriendly. We had hotel staff knocking at our door from the balcony almost 11 pm to complain about us using the air conditioner instead of the fan, very awkward situation.
This hotel is overpriced compared to others. The second balcony is facing a wall, and 1x1 meter large, so not of any use. We booked a seaview bungalow, but you had to do your best to see the sea from your window. Better to book gardenview as difference is only in price. We also failed to see the "fine Thai fabric and handicraft", the room could use some upgrade. Bathroom is nice, seems to be renovated recently. Room is close to beach, good location.
We stayed shorter than expected as close to the resort was the night market which caused a lot of background noise until 1am at night, so we left after one night because our children did not sleep well.

upon arrival the hotel claimed to be fully booked and said that they would arrange with accomodation with another, better hotel at the same beach and cover any surcharges. The other hotel was not on the same beach, did not cost as much (although we were given no discount) did not have the same facilities. All in all a terrible experience. Do NOT trust this hotel! Do NOT make any reservations or bookings with this hotel!
