Chada Beach Resort & Spa, This island forms the most southern district of Krabi province. It was known long ago by it is name in the Malay language, Pulao Satak, which means Long Beach Island. Later, many Thais, both Buddhist and Muslim, came to live on the island making the island known as the island of a million eyes, which is the literal translation of Lanta in Thai. Others hold that the name is derived from Javanese lan-tas, and means a fish grill (which is built of wood with a square grill on top where the fish are set in a circle). Several islands, including Lanta Yai, are considered to be in the National Park. Guests can experience the latest leisure facilities, consisting of massage, swimming pool, water sports and spa, right on the premises. The combination of the traditional elements of Koh Lantas rich culture with the latest in hotel accommodation makes this hotel stand out.

About Koh Lanta:
Koh Lanta island is a favourite spot for those who seek peace and solitude, and is the home of the District and National Park offices. Mountainous and rugged in some spots, especially near the southern tip; with a combination of gravelly and fine white sandy beaches, the island is also home to a clan of Chao Ley, or Sea Gypsies who preserve many of their ancient customs and ceremonies.
Krabi province has some of Thailand's most breathtaking scenery, with stunning beaches, limestone cliffs and colourful coral reefs. Ao Nang with a good choice of restaurants and hotels is Krabi's most popular beach. Ao Nang also provides a embarkation point for beautiful Railey Beach - accessible only by boat. Many of the more upscale hotels are located on developing Klong Muang and nearby Tubkaak - a very quiet beach area - providing a perfect holiday retreat.
Ko Lanta and the Phi Phi Islands are part of Krabi province and both lie within a designated marine national park.
