The hotel is tucked nicely into a forested hillside, but just off the main road as well which makes its location one of its best qualities: peace and easy access to restaurants and the beach. The resort staff were also very friendly and helpful, even bringing a birthday cake to my room on my birthday. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, although a bit old. Past reviewers have not been happy with their rooms and I would agree that because of the resorts layout it may depend on which one you get; some have better views than others, road noise, privacy, cleanliness, etc. I guess the only complaint was having to wait quite awhile for a room upon arrival but the change/upgrade ended up being well worth the wait. For those who travel its just good to remember that delays, frustrations, changes, are all just part of the experience. Overall a fun time and would recommend Pakasai specifically for its location, staff friendliness, and peaceful atmosphere.

Only one small comment on the taxi to the airport rate from the hotel, far too expensive when you know you just need to cross the road to pay half price. Anyway they are not pushy on their own services

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were very very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, including my friends and family. Exceptional value for money...
