Aonang Cliff Beach Resort

Our goal for the four days in Krabi was to boat and snorkel off the Ao Nang local islands, SCUBA dive Koh Phi-Phi, rock climb Railay, and sea kayak in the mangroves of Ao Thalane. For this trip, we needed to be in a centrally located place for ease of booking and transfers, and so the Ao Nang Cliff Beach Resort was about as perfect a setup as we could have asked for. The location, rates, customer service, restaurant, wi-fi, bed comfort, cleanliness, hot shower, room service, and balcony view were *all* just right.

One criticism: As one guest who does not want to spend his evenings watching TV in the room, it would be nice if the resort pool stayed open past 7pm - that is too early a closing time, and many guests would probably enjoy a night swim in the warm fresh water!

Very nice hotel, but bland could use some flowers in thre rooms & more or bigger pictures in the rooms...nice bathrooms & tv & terrace...thye told me that 2 bottles of water are included then when I chekced out they wanted to charge me for 2 bottles of water I took from the refrig...I was told that the water in teh refrig is different than the bottles that were out...the bottles out were warm so of course I didn't drink them & took from the frig..the bottles in the frig also had screw on tops that I could put in my handbag & carry around with me...the others did not....I told them I was not going to pay for water!! every hotel in Thailand gives up water!! I just found they were nickle & dime me ...One morning my driver was late & I asked the started to call the company to see what's happening...he told me it would be 30bht ($1) charge..I said ok....they never did charge me for that..but she should of be done graciously not with that tone...I was also surprised that there was a fee for breakfast usually this is included in the room fee....

This was a great place to stay - staff were helpful & friendly, buffet breakfast was good, room was excellent. Very happy.
