Centara Chaan Talay Resort & Villas Trat is located on the mainland of Trat Province where is opposite of Koh Chang, Conveniently to be reached fromTrat Airport (providing daily air service from Bangkok) is just 75 minutes away drive from the resort. By comfortable road journey with good motorways and road systems, Bangkok is reached in around 5 hours.

The charming provincial town of Trat is located approximately 45 minutes from the resort, and the Koh Chang piers can be reached in 1 hour.

The resort sits majestically and exclusively within a sweeping bay. Gentle lapping water and sugar powder sand are complemented by lush tropical Casuarina trees which provide excellent sun shade.

Very friendly staff - small hotel with excellent location to the beach. A long way from the nearest town however so be prepared to spend all your time at the resort on their excellent beach or in the pool.

The service is great, the room is quite big and there's the air con in the living room already(in the review a lot of comment said there's no air con) The sky TV didn't work when it's raining, but the hotel has the DVD that we can ask from the reception. The breakfast is ok and quite variety, but we had dinner there and it's not great, it's alright and the pasta I ordered is overcooked. The beach is nice and not crowded. The swimming pool is a bit small. There're plenty of places(beds and chairs) to lie down chilling out at the beach. My friend and I quite enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

The Centara Chann Talay is beautifully located on Tuptim Bay in the middle of nowhere. The beach is long and beautiful. The Food in the Restaurant is excellent. Both Thai and other dishes are very good and prices are very moderate. The service could be better, but the main problem lies not in the unwillingness but rather in the poor communication due to our not speaking Thai and their not speaking english. But the facilities need a renovation dearly. Not Centara as we know it. But as we heard the owner changed and much work is scheduled soon. If the prices stay like this we will come back.
