Tropical Beach Resort Koh Chang

Maybe the chef was away while we were here. Breakfast was passable, you can ask for eggs cooked the way you like. Evening dinners were small, poor quality and cold. If you find the same eat at one of the resorts along the beach.
Be careful with the final bill, 200 b were added for transport to the pier until we pointed out that this was included in the booking with Asian Web Direct. Getting out from here, to the pier, in the evening (or day) costs 300b return, alternatively you hire a motor bike at 250b per day or take the 25min walk. Paying the 300 may be worth it for the food available at the pier.
There are rocks just off the sandy beach, worth walk for 5-10 mins west for rock free water.
Don’t let all that put you off; if you want a quite time you will find it here. The bungalows are great and plenty of space, a/c and mosquito net. Not worth the extra costs for bungalows on to the beach.

This is the perfect hotel if you're looking for a hotel that is quiet and out of the way. the sand that builds up in the room is a bit of an issue though

We really loved staying here. It's out of the way, but you can rent mopeds very cheaply to get to and from town. The rooms are clean and comfortable and right on the beach. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely come back. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing beach getaway, then this is a great choice. If you're looking for party-central, don't come here. :)
