Located only 30 minutes from Hua Hin, Dolphin Bay is a pond-like picture of blue-green tranquillity, perfect for windsurfing, kayaking, and numerous other water sports. Gentle waves and shallow waters make bathing in the sea safe for children and adults alike. The prisitine waters of the protected bay are a natural haven and breeding ground for a school of about 30 dolphins, including several rare pink dolphins, which are often sighted from the resort, and are even known upon occasion to swim along with bathers. Far from crowded beaches, bright neon lights and noisy tourist hangouts typical of Thailands other vacation destinations, Dolphin Bay Resort lies on Dolphin Bays spectacular, unspoiled 5 kilometre beach with panoramic views of the bay, nestled between mountain peaks and dotted with lush tropical islands that form part of Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park - an oasis of natural beauty for civilzation-weary body and soul.

As advertised, this hotel/resort is great for families with small children. The pool (various depths) and water slide are kid-friendly, and there is a large garden/yard for running around, with some sturdy outdoor play equipment. Both of these are right beside the restaurant so kids can play while waiting for orders to arrive at the table. The beach in front of the resort is also quite good for sand and wave play. Around the resort, nothing is too fancy for them to touch, and there are a variety of rooms that have separate bedrooms and sitting rooms (ideal for early bedtimers). Also, we highly recommend the 4-hour national park tour, although the climb to Sai cave would be quite difficult with very young children.
