Banyan Resort & Golf Hua Hin

everything was very good, except for the cleaning staff

We really enjoyed our stay at the Banyan very much. Everything was just fine. The villas are spacious and comfortable, and clean. We loved the terrace (unfortunately only 2 sunbeds for 4 persons), and the direct access to the big pool. The resort is very quiet, nice to walk around in the evening (you appreciate this after coming from Bangkok). Breakfast was good, the Restaurant is just ok, nothing special and a little bit overpriced.
Location of the Resort - far from everything, but we knew that and we booked it also for that reason. We had our own car, so that was not a problem. The Resort offers also a free shuttle service to Hua Hin town, and to the beach (which we never used). I can recommend this Resort and will go back again.

Positive: Beautiful resort, good sized villa, kind staff - almost 4* star and ewith some minor tweaks could be made into 5*
Negative: no drinks / towels on arrival after long journey, no tv in second bedroom, kitchen extractor fan banged loudly all night in strong winds, had fantastic bbq buffet in villa but once it had been cleared up and we had all got pyjamas on and had gone to bed, the door bell rang no less than six times for us to sign the bill, the shuttle bus service was very limited and one night when we wanted to get it we were told it was full as there was a large conference group staying for the weekend and would have to get a taxi - the resort should have got the bus to do a second trip on its return during bus periods. Breakfast on days 1 + 2 was very limted, but when the conference group arrived at the weekend it improved greatly, acccidently broke a glass and check out was delayed whilst they billed me to 50 baht for this - left a rather sad feeling as had just spent 35000 on 4 night stay, thought this was rather petty.
