Manathai Village, Chiangmai

This Place is very special due to i's design & location. The designer is very good due to the mixture of contemporary & classic Thai style construction. (I love his work) But not perfect. The room that we stayed in, (all the rooms are different), Was somewhat cluttered with some useless pieces of furniture & cushions, (but we rearrange the furniture to suit our needs), The ergonomics of the layout were a little muddled eg, one had to step up & step down to get in the shower, ( much like a bath tub shower),& then get back in the shower to hang up the towel because the towel rack was on the inside wall of the shower. This little boutique hotel is tucked in a back Soi in between to major roads, wich is Good. But we were woken in the middle of the night & morning several times by barking dogs next door, the chinking of water bottles by local water bottle depot & the occasional rowdy tuktuk zooming down the Soi. (Much like home, appart from the TukTuk). The breakfast was ok for a Boutique hotel but the coffee was bad. The pool, Bar Restaurant & the overall layout was great. The concierge staff, (Peach & ?) were extremely kind & helpful. 100%. This place would not be suited for wheel chair or or anyone a little restricted in mobility. Also not really stroller friendly for infants. Despite my few little complaint about this place. We loved our stay & We will be going back next year & we will definately stay at the MANATHAI VILLAGE again. Thanks to all the staff..

Room is small even though for junior suite. We even move out 2 arm chair out of our room in order to ve some space to place our luggage. Hot water not consistent, mean half way shower the hot water turn to cold water. Old type of TV, toilet design not comfortable, breakfast not many choice, coffee is fine but only offer black coffee. Location is good cos near to night bazaar & sunday walking street.

we really loved the atmosphere and decor. service was fantastic and we like the set up of the hotel. we will certainly stay at this hotel again!
