This hotel used to be an oasis of peace and quiet from which one could escape from the noise of Bangkok. Not anymore - they are renovating which means the lads have been let loose with the power drills and angle grinders so beloved by the Thais. I love this place, the restaurant is still excellent and the pool lovely but I won't be going back until the lads with the power tools have moved on to shatter the peace elsewhere
The hotel was very good for the price. The rooms, food, alcoholic beverages and massage were very inexpensive. Everything was very good except for the following. 1) The breakfast buffet needs more western item. 2) The coffee for breakfast was prepared using an expresso type machine, one cup at a time.
