Thong Ta Resort And Spa

If you are looking for a cheap hotel near the airport then Thong Ta is right for you. The rooms are quite spacious and the free wireless internet is a plus. The downside is that there's not much else to do around this area and the taxi driver found it difficult to find even with a map. There's also the noise issue which was a big deal for us. We kept hearing the guests on the corridors, every time they come in or go out their room whether they're on the same floor as ours or upstairs!

When we arrived, there were the brochures with the usual information about the hotel. But it was a turn-off to see a price list for all items in the room which will be charged to you if ever you break any of it (e.g. empty bottles, bottle opener attached to the wall, bed runners). A general reminder would have been sufficient. It would have been a great help too if the hotel staff were more gracious and fluent in English or if they printed their reminders in several languages for non-Thai guests.

Clean, good price, good location for xport transfer. Need to improve in restaurant customer service area; waitresses were very unfriendly and ignore customers. Front desk customer service was ok but can be improved. Drivers were very friendly.

The hotel was fine for a budget hotel close to the airport. I would never stay there for more than a night but it was convenient for an early start the next day. The shuttle to the airport is good. However the staff are not very friendly and the towels and sheets have seen better days.
