Merisess Sukhumvit 16

Room was good - nice bed and good tv and dvd/sound system. Internet was ok. Indian staff did not communicate well in English. Breakfast was very poor - and served in the room... not sure why... I guess they don't have a restaurant. Location is not very good, long distance to Sukhumvit road and no tuk-tuk service to assist.

Shower door missing, so the entire floor was wet. Toilet blocked on first use. Breakfast not available even though paid for

I booked the premier suite. Upon arrival, they process the room quite fast and guided me to my room, after staying inside the room for 5 mins, i realised they actually give me a downgraded room, not the one I booked online. I went to the reception to ask, he seems apologetic and then said that he will change my room within 1 hour. after 1 hour pass, they came to me and ask if i can stay in the room for a night and they will change for me tomorrow afternoon. quite disappointing. i booked for 5 nights and on the 4th day, they actually called me and ask what time i am checking out that day. I told them is the next day. I requested them to arrange a public taxi to the airport on my last day, and gave them a time. I went down to check-out. and waited for almost 1 hour for the taxi to come. luckily i wasnt late for the flight. The design of the room is nice, but i find that the kitchenette that they have in the room wasnt clean. first room I had have pots for cooking. but the second room doesnt have. and since they have kitchenette, there wasnt any dishwasher soap. the water boiler was extremely dirty with moulds on it.
