We stayed here because we had stayed previously 5 times, we had also recommended this hotel to quite a few people who had also stayed here. The last time we stayed was in Oct/Nov 2011 and the standard of service was not up to par with the other times. We booked 2 rooms for a four day period, the rooms we were given were not up to standard with the rooms previously. One room was a corner room. The bathroom was so small that you could not open the door without hitting the toilet. The spout in the bath did not work nor did the plug, we had to remove entirely as it would not let the water out. To have a shower was an art in itself as you could only position the shower head toward the side wall otherwise the entire bathroom would get wet. The breakfast was so boring, even though we had paid for it we decided not to have breakfast a few of the mornings and went out for this. Our key continually failed to open the door and we had to request more than once to have it reissued. On our previous stays here, nothing appeared to be to much trouble for the staff, this time the only answer we would get was, you will have to wait until tomorrow when our manager is here....On the upside, the lobby staff, ( the boys taking bags, getting taxi's and providing information) were fantastic. These men go out of their way to assist and make your stay enjoyable..(bring then to reception to train the other staff members in customer service) 5 stars to these boys. We will not be staying here again.
Value for money....
This hotel is excellent value for a clean, pleasant stay just off the main Skyway train line. Don't come for sunbathing since there are a number of higher buildings blocking the rays, but outstanding matresses for a grat and quit stay in the heart of Bankok.
