Here, only 5 minutes by walking to Silom, Suriwongse, and Charoenkrung Road. You will find many silver and gold jewe. More, the BTS (Sky Train) Takslry shops around this areain station is just 10 minutes by walking; its offers you a convenient access to many places in Bangkok. The panoramic views surrounded include the Oriental Hotel, Shangri-la Hotel, Royal Orchrid Sheraton Hotel, the Commnunication Authority of Thailand, the France Embassy, Sri-praya pier, and more.

Overall, not my top choice if I was in a shopping trip to Bangkok. Far from main shopping areas of Pratunam and MBK. Getting a taxi from outside the hotel is easy versus a fairly long walk to the nearest BTS station Saphan Thaksin. Alternative is to try taking the shuttle ferry service from Oriental Hotel (about 8min from Win Long) to the BTS station. Rooms are pretty comfortable as they seem to be recently renovated. The wardrobes seems old though, some with broken wood inside. The breakfast is dissappointing. No buffet spread. Instead every guest is entitled to a choice of either the Continental (1 egg, 1 sausage) or Oriental (fried rice) breakfast. Portion is not enough to fill a hungry stomach.
its a clean hotel & value for money, transportation is very easy to find around there.
