Hotel MahaShiv Inn

Air-conditioning unit very noisy along with traffic noise from being on the main street. Bed was very hard and not comfortable at all. TV - only one English channel, shower head not functioning well at all. Toilet seat broken - moving around when sat on. This property is catered towards Indian customers, Indian TV channels and breakfast. Not for westerners ie no cereal / fresh fruit or juice offered. Nil available.

when we came in the room was not ready yet. we came in the hotel and the room was not fixed properly.the used linens,comforter and pillows were just thrown inside the closet the whole time we were there, not even folded so we cannot use the closet to put our clothes. the washroom is kinda dirty. stain on the toilet bowl. we even bought bleach because we didn't find it clean. i think this hotel is understaff because when we complained about our toilet not flushing, it took them awhile to come up. it was the the waiter that came up and said that he needed to finish serving people downstairs. that is pretty awful, feel sad for that man, he is very nice. we had free breakfast but we were just given one piece of fried egg, 2 toasts and tea. the staff are very friendly and polite at least. the smell on the entrance is quite strong from the indian spices coming from the restaurant on the main floor. i wish they could use some nice frangrant incense. i dreaded everytime we enter the hotel because of the smell.

the smell in the lobby is bad, room door broken and lock changed, bugs in the bathroom, no water during part of the day and no information about it, breakfast non existant, no menu offered, coffee is so bad, no jam or marmelade. reception most op the time unoccupied, TV only hindi channels, Al jezzera, considering the low price its acceptable but for a few bucks more you have a decent clean room in other well maintained hotels.
