Ibis Bangkok Riverside

This is the first time I decided to try the service at this hotel.For overall condition is excellent except in the service of the Front Office.The first step at the entrance Check-in I have a feeling that the Front Office will be ignored and it was felt that it was not impressive and During we check-in at the hotel we take a Booking detail (Printed from the e-mail) show to the Front officer and he not asking any question for our booking detail but the mistake is Bed type that we are booking is (Double King side) but the Hotel selected the Twin bed for us and I very uncomfortable when I arrive to my guest room. In this case if the hotel no available for our bed type that we are booking The Front Officer should have inform us to accepted or not anyway this case is very sentative for us and due to we are check-in almost midnight cause from we are on the way from other provience so we dicide to not go down to front desk to asking/complaint about it in that time we are very tried and need to take a rest at my guest room.We are a very uncomfortable with Frontdesk officer the detail as below :
1. when we are arrived at frontdesk no anyone interest/in-charge us and after a while we have to say greeting to the Hotel Frontdesk office after that he looks like serious/busy at the moment.
2. After we take a comfirmation letter with print-out on A4 paper to frontdesk officer he arrange with wrong bed type or may be the hotel unavailble but I donnt know because he not inform anything to me.
3. when process of check-in done we get the keys card already the frontdesk officer not inform anything to us just take 2 of keys card and then he back to looking at the computer until we decide to asking him about my process check-in is done ? and he not answer any word but he nod to us. I donnt know Why the Frontdesk officer not inform our guest room direction or the way to elevator.And the other issue we have to complaint about housekeeping dept the detail as below :
-During the night on our sleeping time (on During 06.00am - 08.00am) we found the officer of hotel maybe housekeeping or another dept. OPEN my guest room door and no knocking before open the door after that the hotel officere see us still sleeping on the bed this officer closed the door with not becareful with the noise of door that make we wake-up with unsafty issue for this hotel guest room.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Ibis Bangkok Riverside. I cannot imagine better value for the money as the rooms, the hotel and especially the grounds were fantastic. We travelled from Vancouver, Canada with our two children, ages 7 and 5 in late March 2012 and were delighted with the size of the room and the bunkbeds in them. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was good. The best part of the hotel for us was the pool area. It was a nice sized pool and there was plenty of space around for the kids to run in the grass and play in the playground area (set far to the side for those without kids!). And the view... the hotel and pool are set right on the river and it is a gorgeous view of the water traffic and the part of the city that sits across the river. We felt, honestly, it was a bit of an oasis right in the middle of the city! It was about a 20-25 minute boat ride up the river to Wat Pho, Grand Palace and Khaosan Road area.
The website was very easy to use. The only hiccup came upon check-out when our prepaid rooms were presented for payment on our bill. I caught the error and explained that we had already paid for our rooms. To their credit, there was no argument and the charge was promptly removed.
Nice hotel, beautiful pool area and view, and great value for the money- well worth the visit!

Well designed modern quiet room with comfortable bed; great swimming pool and riverside location; fabulous cheap street eats nearby; walk to skytrain station
