Excellent hotel. 5* at 3* price. Location not brilliant but free shuttle boat to nearest boat pier for access to city. Good restaurant at reasonable prices.
We had an unexpected stay in Bangkok and went on-line to look for special deals from 5-star hotels. The Chatrium looked like the best value at the last minute. We thoroughly enjoyed the river-side view, complete with unexpected fireworks on Thursday night over the river. The fitness center was great and empty at 1300 so I had a great, private workout. The pool was uncrowded, great for laps and for cooling off after the fitness work out. Dining under the "Shoot-star" palm trees, with a jazz trio and lighted tour boats passing on the river was one of the most romantic dinners of our 30+ years of marriage.
Only one word - superb. Excellent service and location
