Set on a massive plot of land along the banks of the Chao Praya River, Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort & Spa provides enough reasons to never leave the hotel, with 11 separate restaurants and bars, beautiful pool area fringed by palms, tennis court and fully equipped gym with planned activities. Add to this the famous Anantara Spa with a range of treatments and Crayon, a staffed childrens playroom, and you have activities to please the whole family. With many elements of Thai design mixed with a profusion of wood and high ceilings straight from the colonial era, the low-rise resort feels separated from the hustle of downtown Bangkok, even though it is only a 15 minute boat ride to the pier and BTS Station at Saphan Taksin.

Rooms are similarly decorated in a colonial era style, with a dark wood design, Thai art on the walls and a private balcony looking out towards either a tropical forest or the Chao Praya River. ... [+] More

They do keep up with the times however, with an iPod dock in every room along with WiFi, TV and DVD player. Deluxe Rooms are 38 sqm and, thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows, receive plenty of natural light. Deluxe Premier rooms are more recently renovated and feel slightly more opulent, although the whole hotel has been executed perfectly for guests who want to sample a relaxing and traditional side of Bangkok.

This Hotel is recommended for: >> Families, >> Couples, >> Groups, >> Sightseeing
