Khao San - Old City average

Nice hotel right on Khao San. If booking, book online on a travel site. Rooms are all 1000B higher at the front desk. Stayed here 2 years in a row, pool is a nice escape from the street.
Hotel in the heart of the old town with many possiblities to eat cheap and well. Some professional and authentic Spa's closeby. Rooms are nice, cozy and well kept. A bit noisy at night so make sure you have earpluggs if it bothers you. Road is closed for traffic at night so taxi or tuktuk cannot park in front of hotel. If needed, have the driver help you with your luggage the last 50 m to the hotel. At the travelagency across the Hotel hall you can also arrange for a taxi to the airport for Bht 500 and have the driver help you with the suitcases. If you are with less luggage you can book a shuttle bus for Bht 100 at one of the many travel agencies in Kaosan Road. Lovely and quiet pool on the roof.
This hotel has very nice rooms but is in a noisy but convenient part of the old city. The staff are happy to give you the quietest room they can. The WiFi service is very bad indeed and involves constantly having to log in and get new passwords to do so. If WiFi is essential I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
