River View Guest House is not for faint-hearted. You will wandering through a real Bangkok life, far from touristic place, but still in the heart of Bangkok. Our panoramic view from rooftop restaurant is breath-taking, and it worth a diamond hidden in the busy Chao Pray river.

Close to historic and cultural Chaina Town, and quick access from Hualamphong Trian and MRT Station, and Marine Department pier for express boat. The China Town is about 10 minutes walk. There you can enjoy a variety of delicious Chinese food. Sampeng is also a good place for value hunting, and though most of the items are available for wholesales, but retails can be provided at a bit extra cost.

Staff friendly. Cleaning in the room ok but not very good. At the roof restaurant it seems that they never clean the floors. Same garbage still was laying on the floor day after day(cigarettes,tissues,dirt,bottles,cans,food...). The breakfast buffewas not worth the name. Not much to eat and they did not refill it automaticly. You had to ask if something was missing. Outside the rooms it looked like a garbage dump and the room looked like it was under construction. A bad smell from the floor draines in the toilet and the shower. No doors to close to the separate toilet and to the separate shower, just draperi. The total impression of this hotel was messy, dirty and a breakfastbuffewith very less food. Some staff at the restaurant did not speak almost any english which was very frustrating.

Brilliant view from roof top restaurant, restaurant service friendly and good. Spacious rooms (could be a bit cleaner though). Great location near China Town and main railway station, Marine Dept. pier, surprisingly quiet to be in the centre of Bangkok, you wake up to bird song (and dogs...).
