This hotel is mainly recommended for those travelling onwards from Bangkoks main train station Hua Lamphong, which connects to Chiang Mai and the south of Thailand. But for those looking to explore there is plenty nearby. River City pier is a quirky mall with a rooftop bar that looks over the Chao Phraya, and you can catch a bus into Chinatwon to explore the wonderful shop houses and street food stalls.
