While most people enjoy a bit of luxury, Hotel Muse offers much, much more. Bangkoks newest boutique hotel, in the heart of Langsuan, offers a truly unique experience. The design motif of this hotel takes you back to 19th Century Siam and the golden age of travel and discovery in South-East Asia. No detail has been over-looked - from entry-way, lobby, lift, to rooms and the delightful in-house eating - Muse has become Bangkoks place to be seen for the social elite. Don a smoking jacket and sip whisky in the cigar lounge, drink in the ambience of the 1920s themed Speak Easy, or enjoy fine-dining in Su Tha Ros or Amicis restaurants. All within easy reach of Bangkoks best shopping, dining and nightlife zones.

What we loved:
- Soft monogrammed sheets and towels
- Large bathtub with claw feet
- The vintage decor and retro posters throughout the communal areas
- You are only a stones throw away from some of the best shopping and food Bangkok has to offer
- Great value lunches at Su Tha Ros and Medici Kitchen
- Prohibition-style speakeasy on the rooftop with private turrets

What you should know:
- This hotel is all about dark sophistication, so not suitable for those who like things light and airy. ... [+] More
- Small swimming pool
- Free Wi-Fi

Amazing

4.5
Deciding to try a local Bangkok hotel, outside the "big chains" such as Sheraton and Shangri La, I settled on Hotel Muse. As the taxi pulled into the front entrance, I was immediatly impressed with it's 'curb appeal". The staff were friendly, competent and eager to serve. My room was above expectation. Stylishly decorated, clean, quiet and comfortable. The mattress on my large double bed was a "Sealy", fitted with clean, white hotel grade linens. Needless to say. I slept very well.
During my 3 night stay, there was a recurring problem with the functionality of my shower, which was ultimately addressed by the front desk manager, Mark, who handled the problem with professionalism and a sincere interest in ensuring my stay was a pleasant one.
Like most 5 stars, I found prices at the rooftop bar and lobby restaurant considerably high, leading me elsewhere for meals and drinks. Too bad, really, as the facilities are simply fantastic. I also resisted the mini bar for the same reason.

In conclusion, I was very satisfied with Hotel Muse and am certain to stay again.
