Nestled in the quiet and lush residential area of Balmoral, Sloane Court is surprisingly close to the entertainment and shops on Orchard Road. It is a hotel rich in history and Tudor charm. Each of our 30 rooms have been carefully and individually designed to mirror the comfort and tradition of bedrooms in an English country home, all rooms with an accompanying luxuriously finished ensuite bathroom. Sloane Court is a rarity in ever-changing Singapore. It evokes for some, visions of a Colonial past and for others, memories of an era that is rapidly disappearing. Dining at The Berkeley Restaurant The Berkeley is a restaurant and pub that’s redolent of old English Pubs; it’s walls are covered with crossbows, shields and pistols. Yet it’s extensive menu (excellent oriental food and curry to steaks and chops, bangers on mash, fish and chips, Jehova fish pie, devilled chicken, best oxtail stew, salads and roast beef) is reminiscent of famous Hainanese restaurants of Colonial times. The closely guarded recipes have been handed down through generations of Hainanese chefs and have remained unchanged to this day. The Berkeley is both inviting and intimate – the perfect place for a cosy tête-à-tête or a confidential business meeting. Restaurant opens 7:15am daily for Hearty English Breakfast open till 10pm Tuesday to Sunday serving lunch and dinner (set or à la carte)
