Minor Hotel Group signs agreement with Asia Web Direct
Marriott, Anantara and Four Seasons choose AWD as a quality distribution website
BANGKOK, 12 February 2009: Minor Hotel Group has signed an agreement with Asia Web Direct to work with their destination sites and last-minute accommodation website LateStays.com to sell their hotel rooms.
The agreement means Minor Hotel Group, part of one of the largest hospitality and leisure companies in the Asia Pacific, will give its hotels in Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the green light to work with Asia Web Direct to sell their rooms.
Asia Web Direct's CEO, Jirapa (Sii) Eawsakul said that she is delighted to work with Minor Hotel Group and hopes to produce some great results for them.
"Asia Web Direct's destination sites including Bangkok.com and Phuket.com are rich with information that attracts a high amount of web traffic looking to purchase accommodation, and hotels in the Minor Hotel group are sure to catch the attention of these browsers.
"In addition, Asia Web Direct's popular 28-day booking site, LateStays.com is able to efficiently sell those rooms that are still available at the last minute," she added.
Four Marriott and four Anantara hotels under the group in Thailand have already commenced selling deals through Asia Web Direct's portals and will now add selling deals through LateStays.com, while more hotels in the group are set to follow them.
VP of Revenue Management and Distribution of the Minor Hotel Group, Heidi Gempel said, "there are so many third-party sites now available for hoteliers to distribute inventory, it is important to choose partners that will not only sell rooms, but those that will respect your brand.
