Nicaragua is a democratic republic and the largest country in Central America. The country is bordered on the north by Honduras and on the south by Costa Rica. It is sandwiched by the Pacific Ocean on the west and the Caribbean Sea on the east, provides the vast opportunities of water activities. Managua is its capital city, where many of the sights can be seen as a day trip. Nicaragua is not really on the tourist wanted list, since the politic turmoil went through it, yet it is nowadays great for one willing to discover the unexplored destination. For real adventure, head to Bluefield, the old pirates’ nest on the Mosquito Coast, where the Caribbean is surrounded with reggae and rum.
